Description
Fossils of scallop shells (pecten) in Topanga stratum (Miocene epoch) in the Santa Monica Mountains. Seen along the roadway, 1 mile east of summit of Saddle Peak at the head of the Las Flores Canyon watershed. Road construction reveals these fossils.
