Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of the waterfront in Shanghai, ca.1900. Large, floating docks are shown to the left, with small skiffs anchored to their side. These docks are connected to the landing at right by side-railed gang-planks. Goods are stacked on the landing in the foreground, while large, siloh- and warehouse-style buildings are visible in the distance.
