Description
View of Chinatown in 1956. The area shown, on North Broadway, was designated New Chinatown and built as a tourist attraction. The original L.A. Chinatown was located around the Plaza and the present site of Union Station. View 1: shows the entranceway into New Chinatown. View 2: closer view of the entranceway into New Chinatown. Pass the entrance, several people are sitting on a bench and a family can be seen walking thru the plaza. View 3: shows a few restaurants and a gift shop in the New Chinatown plaza. View 4: a man wearing a suit, stands before the entranceway to New Chinatown.
