Original photograph has several stains. Photograph caption dated February 15, 1957 reads "Mrs. Erma Fish (sic) Austin touches up papoose which she calls Little Fawn. Towering over her are life-size Indian doll parents which she created. They are named Joe and Prairie flower. She has created more than 500 authentic dolls and says that it takes more time to make small ones than large figures like Indian family above."
