Photograph caption dated December 8, 1956 reads "Bedridden, but thoughts high in sky - Little Michael Lawson, 4, surrounded by toys in his bed at Los Angeles Childrens Hospital, doesn't give them a passing thought as he closely examines North American test pilot Frank Smith's jet helmet. Smith is member of firm's Donate Once Club, which recently contributed $16,000 to hospital for purchase of X-ray equipment."
