Photograph caption dated September 18, 1957 reads "Fiberglas [sic] boat giveaway plan of Valley Plaza Merchants Association gets off to a shooting start with Anita Gordon, TV star and honorary mayor, merrily playing the role of gun-toting sheriff. On her left stands Frank Piazza, Bonds Store manager and publicity chairman of the Valley Plaza Merchants Association. Characters in boat, left to right, are Whiskered Bob Pierce, his brother Ralph Pierce and Bob Bickston, all of 'Frontier Caravan' cowboy troup." Valley Plaza is in North Hollywood.
