Description
Three black and white Phonofilm film strips: Two from Rigoletto, starring Eva Leoni as Gilda and Edward Molitore as The Duke. Produced and distributed by De Forest Phonofilm, Incorporated. Premiered April 1923 in New York City. The third strip is from a Phonofilm demonstration given at the Metropolitan Opera's Lambs Gambol on the 26th April 1925, when the audience heard Gloria Swanson and Thomas Meighan speaking on film. (3 strips, 17 frames total)
