First photograph caption dated September 12, 1950 reads "Herbert Perryman, who pulled Mrs. Hazel Berding and her two-year-old son from flaming motel cabin in Pacoima, holds window frame that was hurled onto baby's crib. Miraculously, glass was not broken. Mrs. Berding died of injuries today. Infant is in critical condition."; Second photograph caption dated September 13, 1950 reads "Scene of fatal blast.
