Description
On back: "A building at the College of the Pacific when it was located between San Jose and Santa Clara at the time J. R. Welch attended it, also was a professor of Math there and graduated in 1887 from the college. He later - or almost at once - began the practice of law in San Jose. In 1904 he was elected judge of the Superior Court at Sant Jose, Canta Clara Co.- was re-elected to this office every six years - and held this honorable position until his death Mar. 26, 1931."
