Painter and sons, located on the northeast corner of Fair Oaks Avenue and Washington St., it was a distinguishing landmark of North Pasadena. Source: "History of Pasadena" by Hiram Alvin Reid (Pasadena History Company: 1895.) This hotel later became New Hotel Pasadena and the La Pintoresca Hotel; the building was destroyed by fire in 1912.
