Aerial view of the Ford Motor Company, Mercury Plant site located at 8900 E. Washington Boulevard in Pico Rivera; view is looking northwest. The plant is located on the corner of Rosemead Boulevard (horizontally at forefront) and Washington Boulevard (vertically at right). Rex Rd. is vertically at left; Paramount Blvd. is horizontally at middle; the Rio Hondo parallels Paramount higher up at middle; the city of Montebello is at top. The 157-acre manufacturing facility was dedicated on May 6, 1948; the plant closed in 1980 and was purchased by Northrop Grumman in 1982. Photograph dated November 4, 1960.
