Microfilm of a diary and account book of Joseph Warrington McAllister, kept at Glendale and Salt Lake City from 1882-1885. The volume opens with co-op accounts for individuals and institutions, including the Glendale Trustees and Night School, in Glendale from 1882-1883. It also includes miscellaneous accounts kept from 1884-1885.The second half of the volume consists of McAllister's 1882-1884 diary, which commences with his move from Kanab to Glendale to teach school. McAllister writes of his life in Glendale, his attendance of meetings at Orderville, his move to Salt Lake City in 1883, and working in the Salt Lake Temple through 1884. Portions of the diary appear to be in pencil and may be partially illegible. All inquiries about this item should be directed to the H. By 1876 he was living in Salt Lake City, and he also lived in Kanab, Glendale, and St. George, Utah, where he died in 1930.
