Description
Annual report that outlines the seven major goals for environmental sustainability of Pomona College. The report defines the terms, such as sustainability, and then describes the goals and methods which include the following: reducing greenhouse gas emissions and resource impact, reducing air, water, and soil pollution and toxins, increasing environmental health and teaching environmental awareness, creating "sustainable sustainability," and bringing a public commitment to sustainability. Next, the author write an inventory of the programs and people that affect sustainability, such as Campus Planning and Maintenance, Dining Services, Information Technology Services, students, faculty, and others. The report also lists recommendations and resources for those involved in this and other projects.
