Title supplied by cataloger. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Herbert V. Walker presided over the trial of Sirhan Sirhan for the murder of Robert F. Kennedy.; Hugo Ballin was born on March 7, 1879 in New York City. He worked for Goldwyn Films as an art director and production designer as well as wrote and directed films for his own production company during the silent film era. As silent films began to fade in popularity, he devoted his time to being a muralist. His murals can be found in the Griffith Observatory, the Wilshire Boulevard Temple and the Burbank City Hall, where his masterpiece, "Four Freedoms," can be seen. The mural was inspired by Franklin Delano Roosevelt's "Four Freedoms" speech and depicts scenes representing the freedoms of speech and religion and the freedoms from want and fear. Photograph dated January 6, 1954 shows Judge Herbert V. Walker, center, presiding judge of the Burbank Superior Court, seated at the city council chambers in Burbank City Hall. A Hugo Ballin mural, "Four Freedoms," is in the background.
