Description
"Das erste Wohnhaus (Fachwerk) in Rutenganyo." ("First residential building (half-timbered) in Rutenganio."). An elevated, thatched, two-storied house with stairs leading up to a porch that three men sit on and two men stand on. House is surrounded by palm trees and grass. Imprinted on the image: "Missionars-Wohnhaus: Rutenganyio. D. O. A. No. 1319a." ("Missionary's house: Rutenganio. G[erman] E[ast] A[frica]. No. 1319a.").
