Description
Child rides a donkey on a path near oasis. Lush greenery and plants fill the scene, and mountains appear in the background. An inscription on the back reads, "Oasis created by bend in Nile near Chenoboskion with Gebel et-Tarif in background." A small sketch of the Nile from Cairo to Luxor, with this oasis marked with an "x" appears near the inscription. This photograph was used as part of an exhibit on the Nag Hammadi excavation at the Smithsonian.
