Description
Whole, fresh pears are packed into boxes. Printed on some boxes: "California Fruit Exchange. Santa Clara. Palo Alto: Santa Clara pears."
The California Fruit Exchange was a cooperative that used the brand name Blue Anchor for its produce.
Wooden crates are assembled (or broken down?). Trays of pears. Stamped on some crates: "California Fruit Exchange. Santa Clara. Palo Alto: Santa Clara pears."
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPG format using Photoshop CS3.
