Description
Photograph of the Pleasure Worthan Pavillion in Long Beach, ca.1895. The pier, on which roughly a dozen people are strolling, stretches from out of the frame at left towards the shore. A second pier, on which crowds of people can be seen gathering in the distance, extends from it to the right. The beach can be seen in the background to the left, as well as still more groups of people in front of the buildings of Long Beach on the horizon. Water extends underneath the pier in the rest of the photo.
