Description: The photo caption published in the Sacramento Bee on December 3, 1967 states: "The interchange of the 29th-30th and W and X streets Freeways is taking shape. Completion of the facility is expected in the middle of 1968 and will take traffic around the downtown area of Sacramento and allow east-bound motorists to drive to Reno, Nev. without encountering a traffic signal."
