Photograph caption dated October 22, 1957 reads, "Ronnie Brand, all-city shortstop from North Hollywood High, center, signs his first pro baseball contract with Lincoln of the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He's to report next spring. Looking on, from left are Bob Clements, Hollywood Stars vice president; George Genovese, former Hollywood infielder currently managing Mexico City in the Pirate chain, and the Youngster's father, Gilbert, 11544 Killion St., North Hollywood. Genovese, a neighbor, was inntrumental [sic] in signing the young star."
