Photograph caption dated November 2, 1957 reads, "Instructor goes 'cow trailing' - Roaring down through a wash goes Sergeant Catlin in a demonstration of off-road cycle riding termed 'cow trailing.' Catlin is handling first class ever conducted by Burbank Police Department for motorcycle officers. Previously men were sent to Los Angeles police training school.
