Description: Street view of the French style Guardian Arms Hotel and Apartments located at 5217 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood. The large residential building competed with the Hollywood Hotel for patronage of Hollywood stars. In the basement is a small theater for viewing motion pictures. In 1958 the building was renovated and renamed the Hollywood Hotel and Apartments. In more recent years, it was renamed once again as the New Hollywood Apartments.
