Article dated June 30, 1963 reads, "The Church of Religious Science at 6161 Whitsett Ave. has acquired an adjacent apartment building and two residences to expand its facilities. The buildings will be used for class work by junior members of the church, women's guild meetings and to house a bookshop and library. Ben Stahl, building chairman, said the church's membership has tripled since its dedication three years ago and the need for space has become pressing. Dr. Robert Scott is minister-director of the church and the Rev. Jean Botzer is assistant minister."
