Description
Instructions in the use of voting machines to be used in the election Tuesday are being given in 14 precincts on August 22, 1930. John C. Haston, deputy registrar, shows Mrs. Lucile Martin how to operate one. He sets a lever corresponding to the voter's party affiliation and pulls another handle that closes the curtains about the machine. Mrs. Martin pulls a small lever beneath the name of each of her candidates.
