On June 12, 1999, Long Beach residents donated to the Long Beach Public Library 398 family and personal photographs as part of this ongoing statewide project. A young boy and girl stand next to a residence, dressed for school and holding hands. She is wearing a smocked dress and he is wearing a shirt with denim jeans and suspenders. They lived on Ransom Street near Long Beach Community Hospital. She is Jordan Irwin and he is her neighbor, Henry. In 1952, They walked together down Termino Avenue to kindergarten.
