Description
Photograph of masons making brick for the construction of the Hotel Raymond on the southeast corner of Raymond Hill, looking north in South Pasadena, 1888. What look like lever-and-fulcrums made from planks stand in the background, attended by workers. A horse and buggy wait in the right-center foreground in front of a structure upon which two beams are leaned. Several other horses can be seen hooked to wagons in the background. Behind them, mountains and trees are visible.
