Photograph of a Havasupai Indian woman, Chick-a-pan-a-gie's wife, parching corn in a basket, 1898. He holds the large shallow basket in both hands close to her mouth and blows on the corn. She is kneeling outside in front of a ramada. Behind her sit an olla and another shallow basket. A cylindrical leather(?) case hangs from one of the ramada's posts. Higher up hangs a leather satchel.
