Photograph caption dated January 31, 1964 reads, "Bill Lambert, left, field secretary of the Los Angeles Teachers Association, presents trophy to Bob Marshall, third and fourth grade teacher at Herrick Elementary School, Sylmar. Award honors large ceramic map shown, judged the best classroom project among 1,000 entries submitted by schools throughout the Los Angeles City School District. Trophy is presented annually to LATA to recognize creative excellence in classroom."
