Photograph caption dated December 3, 1958 reads "Members of Native Daughters of Golden West, from left, Mmes. Clarence Mayer, Wiley Riggs and Lee Fowler check plot map of Sylmar cemetery established in 1880." The article partially reads "Restoration of an old cemetery at Bledsoe street and Foothill boulevard, near the Olive view Sanitarium, Sylmar, has been launched by the Native Daughters of the Golden West." The women are members of the San Fernando Parlor No. 280.
