Handwritten label on spine reads, "Chinese and Other Produce Accounts from Feb. 1st 1897 to". Ledger kept by Julia Ann Murphy Fox, recording farm accounts. (R. D. Fox is listed in the 1887 San Jose Directory as operating the Santa Clara Valley Nurseries on Milpitas Road, 2.5 miles north of San Jose; and in the 1898 Directory as being an orchardist operating on Milpitas Road at the corner of Gish Road).
