Description
John Stockwell discusses his book, “Red Sunset.” He begins by explaining that his book is about a couple who has a troubled marriage while living in Africa. He talks about how he worked for the Central Intelligence Agency and his connections to the Congo. Stockwell describes his time working in South Africa and fighting in the Vietnam War. He talks about the connection between the Space Race and the CIA. He discusses how he modeled characters in his book after people he knew as a child. He ends the interview by describing recent Neo-Colonialism in Africa.
