This postcard style photograph illustrates the aftermath of the March 10, 1933 Long Beach Earthquake. Four men in military garb sit amongst fire trucks and other vehicles behind the State Theatre at 106 East Ocean Boulevard. There are tents set up to the left. In the middle portion of the photograph almost center is the dome of the Laughlin Theatre at 347 Pine Avenue and to the right is the Farmers and Merchants Bank building with its iconic sign located at 302 Pine Avenue at the corner of Third.
