Photograph was edited for publication purposes. James Riddle Hoffa was born in Brazil, Indiana on February 14, 1913. He was leader of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union from 1958 to 1971. Hoffa mysteriously vanished in July, 1975 and was declared legally dead in 1982. Photograph caption dated July 10, 1963 reads "He is greeted by unidentified union official upon landing at airport."
