Photograph article dated September 12, 1963 partially reads, "A brand new California corporation opened its doors in the Valley this week. On Wednesday twenty handpicked employes [sic] walked into the new Castle Industries, Inc. plant at 11311 Hartland Ave. to begin their first regular day's work. They will be a group of technicians - machinists, sheet metal workers, welders, assemblers, engineers - setting out to produce aircraft and missile components for Castle. Products will include aircraft observer's seats and ejection seats, various freight loading devices including dollies and conveyor systems, and test devices for missiles and aircraft. Research is an important part of the Castle operation." Pictured are Roy Ludwig, general manager, and Margaret Castle inspecting observer seat.
