Description
King City Airport was built in 1940 by the United States Air Force. It was known as the Palo Alto Airport at that time. It was used as a training airfield. It was taken over by the United States Navy and then became a civilian airport in 1945. This is the dedication of the civilian airport--also known as mesa Del Rey Airport.
