Description
Houses like the Seiltz family home, built on Cougar Way and Cherry Ave, in 1909, began to dot the open spaces around Beaumont as the population of the small town grew. This scene is north of Beaumont and comprises a small acreage where fruit trees were eventually planted. A barn and large implement grinding wheel near the barn at the right was an important commodity of most small farms. Years later, it became Rae Edgar's home.
