Portrait of Rose Schmidt Dickel, daughter of Theodore E. Schmidt and Clementine Zimmerman Schmidt [Langenberger]; wife of Herman A. Dickel, who was born in Germany and came to America in 1883; Upon arrival in Anaheim, Dickel worked for Augustus Langenberger, eventually purchased Langenberger's store and ran it until the early 1920s; image shows bust-length view of Rose, wearing a dark dress with white lace at collar and dark bow at throat.
