Description: Bird's-eye view looking northeast from the Rochester Hotel across Orange, California, toward the foothills, ca. 1915. The Rochester Hotel was located at 310 W. Chapman Avenue, on the corner of S. Lemon Street and West Chapman Avenue. Visible on the right are the Sunshine Apartments (210 N. Olive Street), Orange Union High School (333 N. Glassell Street) and numerous residences, including the Pixley home in the center left (288 N. Olive Street).
