Description
This schoolhouse was serving the needs of the San Pasqual Valley beginning in 1884. Due to a lack of teachers in the 1886 school year a Miss Elizabeth Judson began teaching the students of both districts in San Pasqual for the remaindered of the school year. Between both districts she taught 20 students in the San Pasqual Adobe School. The class of 1886 is remembered not only for the lack of teachers, but also because F. E. Bosworth of National City who was touring San Diego County photographed the end of school year festivities. In 1944 a reunion was held for the remaining 13 members of the class of 86’ as well as the teacher and a photographer posed them in front of the schoolhouse the same way F. E. Bosworth did in 1886.
