Description
In this photograph a fighting-bull is being caped while its movements are observed by a matador standing behind the burladero (barricade). Visible on the back of this bull is the large velcro-like pad to which a cavaleiro (horseman) "planted" the colorful bandarillas. Use of this pad and the fact that matadors do not use swords are the defining elements of a bloodless bullfight. Note that the tips of the bull's horns also are "padded".
