Photograph of "Centinela Days" celebration in 1935. People in horse carriage wearing period costumes represent the City of Hawthorne. In the background on the left are unknown men on horses. The first Centinela Days was initiated partly to celebrate Inglewood's birthday, but mostly to dispel Depression blues. It was sponsored by the Inglewood Chamber of Commerce.
