Zeyn and his wife, Sophia Menke Zeyn, taken in San Francisco prior to their move to Anaheim with the original Los Angeles Vineyard Society in 1859; John Zeyn was mayor of Anaheim in 1883; North Zeyn Street bisects the Zeyn's vineyard lots A4 and B4; image shows frontal full-length view, Sophia standing on the left, wearing a floral bonnet tied under her chin, a beaded satin coat over a dress, left arm linked with her husband's who is standing on the right in a dark suit, vest and tie, holding a light-colored hat in his right hand with a watch fob and chain visible on his vest; drapery and a large tassel are visible at the far left.
