Portrait of Newell H. Mitchell, born in Ohio Dec. 1943, moved to Anaheim before 1880 and operated the Fashion Livery Stable; purchased the Planters Hotel lot and built the Mitchell Building (101-105 West Center Street, now Lincoln Ave.) ca. 1916; image shows bust-length view of Newell, wearing dark coat and vest, with a white shirt.
