Autobiography & Reminiscence of Edgar Briggs, San Francisco, 1904. The Society of California Pioneers
This reminiscence provides an account of Edgar Briggs' journey from New Orleans to California. The author describes spending the Fourth of July in Panama in 1849. Some background family history is provided as well as Mr. Briggs' business history. Particular attention is given to his involvement in the California cigar and tobacco industry and trade. The time period represented by this reminiscence is from 1848 to 1902

This is a typed transcript, bound into a volume, of the member's autobiographical reminiscence created as an institutional record for the Society of California Pioneers.
