Description
Accession number: P19 View of the entrance to the Silverado Mine, located in Silverado Canyon; a silver strike was reported in the Santa Ana Mountains in 1877 and J. W. Clark of Anaheim laid out a townsite near the strike, which he called Silverado, located at the junction of Pine Canyon with Canada de la Madera (which was later renamed Silverado Canyon); the mine failed by 1882.
