Part of MCFL World War I Collection. Handwritten letter, signed by by Carl M. Daniels, 38th Co., 166 Depot Brigade, Camp Lewis, American Lake, Washington. Letterhead: 166 Depot Brigade, Camp Lewis, Washington. He writes 'to drop a word or two of the boys that left Salinas Mar. 16, 1918.' Extols the great time had on the train, the skills and spirit of the young men, and the good treatment received in Camp Lewis.
