Front of postcard depicts a view from Mt. Tamalpais, looking out at the landscape through a thick rolling fog. Title transcribed from front of postcard, which features printed text that reads, "Fog Effect as seen from Summit of Mt. Tamalpais, California. (A very grand spectacle.)." The back of the postcard contains a handwritten message, partially torn away, and addressed to a Mrs. E. Sorensen. The publisher information is given as The O'Newman Company, San Francisco
Los Angeles. Postmark dated 1920.
