Description
Alfred Lewis Levitt was a victim of the Hollywood Blacklist during the 1950s, which adversely affected many people in Hollywood, and screenwriters in particular. This statement ghostwritten by Levitt for an actor, Fred "Smith," to read during a fundraiser reveals the fear and an anxiety that came with a subpoena from HUAC.
