Description
Spiroplasmas are bacteria in the Class Mollicutes that are frequently associated with insects and/or plants. This scanning electron micrographs shows symbiotic/ commensal spiroplasma-like organisms (SLOs) in the midgut of a leafhopper, Dalbulus elimatus.
