Description
Wall -- Inner passageway wall, South -- Southern perimeter wall of the central passageway. Massive wall, badly preserved due to extensive use of large blocks of monzo granite, most of which partly crumbled. Stones originally roughly cut, probable use of soil for consolidation. -- Belongs to the original phase of construction of the gate structure. Research Data Curation Program, UC San Diego, La Jolla, 92093-0175 (https://lib.ucsd.edu/rdcp) South: two souther chambers of gate structure. West: western wall of fort, gate structure. East: eastern wall of gate structure. North: gate passageway Locus above: 150 Area stratum A3 Clearly distinct in both material and quality of preservation from the northern peimeter wall of the passageway, in which use was made of much smaller and more solid blocks of shale.
